That explains why he was unavailable for comment for a couple of days, immediately after the world failed to end - too busy thinking up excuses.  Surely they will be rewarded in heaven? Although, they might now get there a little sooner if they can no longer afford to eat. Tough titty. Shouldn't be so gullible. He had a whole 48 hours and that's the best he could come up with?
