My wife was feeling a little out of sorts yesterday evening, so I packed her off to bed early, bathed the kids, and got them to bed, did the washing; and went to Tesco at 9.30pm to do the grocery shopping.

F**k it, that'll do me for at least a fortnight. Woe betide anyone who crosses my path between now and then.

Nothing. Honest!

Well... I was thinking about a skinny 120.3 radiator and a few Silent Eagles...

A good thing with components is that you can swap them out without anyone knowing, unlike buying a new camera or console for example.

Yep, as long as you can get them into the house and in the spares cupboard undetected, you're laughing. ;)

Although it's the same with her - I remember around 18 months ago she was moaning that she didn't have any boots. Now she has four pairs. Yet, when I ask "are they new?", I get "oh, no. I've had them for ages!"

TBH I tend to do that anyway nowadays, because she isn't always in when the courier pitches up; and I hate driving to the PO depot to collect stuff.

So, that one is covered mate. 8-)

Nah, I'm reigning myself in - I'm not buying anything at the moment, so guess you can consider that another selfless good deed. I can proudly tell my kids they can eat this month because I've decided not to buy anymore hardware. ;)

Aside from watercooling I've had a few thoughts enter my head about whether I should sell my 22" and 20" and get three identical monitors for eyefinity.... :D

But then I may need a new GPU...

My good deed? Hm, sorting out things for the charity bag. Again. That's about it at the mo.

...and a bigger desk for the monitors, and then you'll have space for one of those nice over-sized mousemats. Of course then you'll have to buy a new mouse to do it justice, and a new keyboard to match the mouse. That will probably end up with the lights not matching your case lighting, so you'll have to do something about that...

...maybe new LED fans or perhaps a few cold cathodes and LED strings - and sh!t, now your chassis simply doesn't have adequate cable-management to tidy away all those extra wires. So, a case will sort that out; but look at all the extra space and rad/fan mounts.

Watercooling would do nicely...

Welcome to my world.
