A bit off topic, but are you also suffering from this EHEC outbreak? 9 dead here now. Allegedly it is coming from contaminated Spanish cucumbers and tomatoes...

Not heard of any outbreaks here, though a couple of people may have been affected. I thought the suspicion was from Germany since produce from Holland was also affect, and they put it down to contamination during transport?

Saw an item about it on the news this morning. They didn't mention any UK casualties though, very much played as a 'happening somewhere else' problem.

I have salad in all weathers, usually for lunch. Often in a sandwich. Tomatoes are my biggest single food expenditure - but I just checked, and all of the salad in my fridge is from England. Essex and Tyneside are in England, just about?

Well just to update, I've spent most of today on the toilet with the squits. No fun and I might have to take time off work. What frustrates me is that in the past three years, I've never had to take a day off work and I've taken two off in the last three months.

Well things have improved a little since we found some imodium in the cupboard. I no longer have to guess whether a cramp is just a cramp or whether it turns into a fart, a wet fart or a trip to the loo. Still havig cramps and had some loose motion this morning so holding off.

If I'd gone into work, I'd have been sitting there, stinking the place out, unexpected noises and maybe a few trips to the toilet mid-consultation.

Hopefully everything settles tonight.

All of my plans have buggered up. Didn't clean the car interior, didn't sort out the alloy kerbing and didn't get to sort out paintwork scratches prior to a machine polish this weekend. Got no studying done and didn't get to have a lovely trip or meal out with the family.

Means I've wasted every bank holiday weekend this year so far.

37 years working in the same place and I decide to take early retirement. The first week I come down with a stomach bug (similar to yours), second week I have one of the worst colds I've ever had and for the past few weeks I've been up getting treatment as an inpatient at the Highland Rheumatology Unit in Dingwall.

I cooked myself a curry yesterday - am I tempting fate???

Get well soon.

Al

Chances are if it were anything like a McDonalds it will still be fine in many months.

Hahaha I've eaten cold pizza and reheated pizza many times before without trouble.

Anyway, have taken enough imodium that things seem to have settled.
