A chinese teenager apparently has....or maybe for a laptop and iPhone.

Quote:
On April 28th, the boy apparently traveled north to Chenzhou in Hunan Province where he had his kidney removed. This was news to his mother. "I wanted to know how he had got so much money and he finally confessed that he had sold one of his kidneys," she said. She called the police, who were unable to contact the broker.

:)

He sold that too? What did he buy with that?

He has needlessly shortened his life for a piece of consumer hardware. He is an idiot.

Chances are that it has noty made any difference to his life. You can survive quite happily on one kidney for a long time. I had one ex girlfriend who only ever had one kidney.

Not unless he damages it in some way. If it were so dangerous why do they allow family members to donate kidneys if possible?

Just because you can survive on one kidney does't mean it's desirable. The reason you can donate one is to save another person's life.

It's illegal to sell human tissue in the United Kingdom, for obvious reasons. Selling your kidney for a piece of technology is neither desirable nor advisable.
