I think some of you know already but my Dad passed away on Saturday after an 11 year battle with prostate and bone cancer. It's a horrible disease and I hope none of you or your families have to go through what we did.

RIP Douglas Redfern

Dad

Sorry to hear that Caz. It sounds like it's been a long fight so I hope there is some peace for all now.

Thanks guys. He didn't want to give up so fought a hard battle. He was even buying gadgets and guns (air guns I might add) at the end. He's not even touched his Sony eBook reader :(

Sorry to hear it Caz, and it sounds like he had a good time whenever he could while he was here.
Thoughts are with you and your family. :( but kinda :) at the same time here.

There isn't a lot more that can be said, other than what the guys have already posted.

Sorry for your loss, Caz.

Regards

Not currently, but I was a couple of years ago when my last grand parent died. Weird time isn't it. So try and celebrate who he was, and look forward to having him in your heart and memory, at least.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, cancer is indeed a terrible thing. Only yesterday a friend of ours got in touch and told us that her Mum has cancer and the outlook is not good at all. My Mum managed to fight it off a few years back.....an incredibly stressful time all round, though she was more worried about us than about herself.
