mp3 renamer

morning all,
can anyone recommend a good mp3 renamer/organizer? i have a collection of about 600 cd's that the kids are tossing round the garage that i collected from mid 80's to early 90's of which i have ripped probably around 200 or so upto now.i dont mind the cost.

WMP, mediamonkey or itunes will get the data from online and do it for you.

i do like media monkey matey.will give it a bit more testing although everything seems good first impression wise and i may even purchase it to.

If you want the best quality rips, use Exact Audio Copy. Harder to set up than most, but absolute best results.

Also, just about any decent ripper will use CDDB or freeDB to name your tracks.

I too bought into the whole EAC thing for a while, but have since been persuaded by the near-total migration to Audiograbber for ripping by the TA lot... it's infinitely easier to setup and considerably quicker - and I've tried and tried to tell the difference between it's rips and those that I did do with EAC and I just can't.

As for For the renaming / batch edditing of mp3s I use MP3TAG - nifty litle thing that it is.

Can't hurt to try it. Last time we were talking about this, you were looking into FLAC weren't you? How'd that go?
