On Wednesday I travelled to Dingwall for a hydrotherapy session (50 miles). After the session I drove to Inverness for some lunch and was on my way back to Dingwall for my first injection when the plastic lid on the paper cup my Starbucks 4-shot Americano was contained in decided to separate (as I was heading downhill at 60mph). The result was that the coffee spilled all down my front and lap. Thankfully I can't drink hot coffee and although it smarted a bit I managed to ignore the mess and continued driving until I could pull over safely.

My car smells of coffee.

I'd have said something along the lines of "i would have been amenableto that had she not driven off without giving her details". Hopefully will dump her in more trouble.

Yesterday evening, I was travelling down a 40mph dual carriageway in the outside lane. Lots of traffic so no faster than about 30mph. Then noticed the car alongside me swerving. Fecker was in a saxo trying to text and drive. For thirty seconds he didn't have his eyes on the road and when he saw that I had spotted him, he put his phone away. Silly cameras otherwise I would have rocketed ou of that situation.

Cameras are hardly effective people learn where they are and so can avoid them. Police in cars is the best way to stop use of phones and texting in cars.

Stupid insurance companies!!!!

Called me today about my camera. Said you can still but it online at X, Y and Z stores for £469.99. Brilliant I said. In the meantime whilst someone decides it's beyond economical repair I Google the camera (as I'm surprised you can still buy it) and in Google Shopping the top 3 results are the ones the insurance read out to me. Only of you bother to follow the link to the three stores it's out of stock. At every single one of them. Now apparently no one is available to answer the phone.

That's on top of them saying I need a camera shop to confirm it's beyond repair yet every camera shop I've spoken to want to either send it off or charge for the service.

Think you got mixed up with the comment about speed cameras. If there had been no speed cameras on the dual carriageway, I've have floored it and gotten out of that dodgy situation asap. As it stood, I couldn't slow down much because of traffic behind me, and I couldn't charge straight ahead because of a speed camera. Otherwise I'd have left that dodgy fool to smack into someone else.

Completely agree about speed cameras being almost entirely useless. They need to be deployed IMO only in high-risk areas.

No I realised that you were on a road with two lanes but I think that someone else commented about cameras, that was part of my response. Speed cameras are supposed to be by accident blackspots. Yet I used to live near a junction on a wide road where there was regular pileups and the speed camera was either pointing the wrong way or was too far from the junction to be effective.

If someone has an accident while using a phone or texting it should be a mandatory three year ban with a retest before they can get behind a wheel again. Even if no one is hurt the quicker these people are off the road the better.

Every store I have a voucher for is overpriced in the first place, hence the voucher, probably

Well, I wear the quick drying outdoor stuff (darkish) so no stains were apparent but the look on their faces told me they could smell the coffee  It was only after I said 'does anybody smell coffee' that they twigged it was me but they actually thought the smell came from my breath.

Idlely switched on the TV this morning while eating my sugar puffs, only to be greeted by the sight of Bill Gates sat on the GMTV sofa.

That's.. an unusual way to start a Monday morning.

It would be even more unusual if he was sat on YOUR sofa ;)

Job agency phoned me up last night to enquire if I was still looking for a job. As they have had a client come to them with a role that my CV is very very well suited to. A quality supervisor, in charge of three analysts in my home town.

Now why wasn't this happening 2 months ago when I could have got the redundancy payout from my current job before going to this job. (of course assuming I would be offered the job in the first place  )

The leccy company is doing some work at the bottom of the hill and warned us we wouldn't have phones until 8am this morning.

10 past 10 and still no phones. The project supervisor is not answering his mobile, and isn't return calls; Calls to their office are going straight to a message service too.

Bleh, PC Gamers superior my ass.

For all PC Gamers mock "Console Tards" they're sure quick to rage over certain companies when they feel they've been somehow shafted:

Battlefield 3 boycott - Because 1 "exclusive" weapon and 2 "exclusive" weapon mods that would have made the tiniest difference to balance are enough to boycott the game for. Not to mention now EA have "clarified" that they're timed exclusives and that they'll be free in future makes them think they have somehow "won a decisive victory from a moral high ground".

Valve pulling Crysis 2 from Steam - So apparently new Steam TOS's disagreed with EA/Crytek (probably something to do with exclusive DLC for Origin) and thus Steam decided to pull Crysis 2 from its store. Now despite EA having stated that it was Steam's decision to do so, PC Gamers are still jumping over EA for it. The fact that D2D and other Digital Download Services still have Crysis 2 show that Steam is the exception this time.

Now whilst i'm not here to actually argue exactly who i think is right and wrong in these cases, the fact that PC Gamers are so stuck up their ass with regards to these (IMO) relatively small incidents leaves me no surprise that former PC only developers are now moving to consoles.

I was reading through the comments on Bit-tech's Crysis 2 review yesterday and felt similarly annoyed with a numbe of people on there for presenting such arrogant and moronic views, in particular the person that said "I wish I could go back to a time when there was just Crysis and Warhead". Alternatively of course, he could just not buy Crysis 2.
