I was recently having a few issues on the Mac so had a bit of a blitz and cleaned out the system a bit. I cleared the font cache, and ever since Safari's default font has been a strange 'comedy' font for the bulk or text.
It's obviously one I have somewhere, but one I would never activate knowingly. I don't know the name to root it out and delete it so don't know if it's a system font or one form my collection. Can anyone shed some light on how I might be able to get Safari using a normal font please?
I'm using FontBook on 10.6.7 - soon to upgrade to Suitcase soon though!...
I had searched this previously and no answer - searched again just now and found someone fixed it by looking in the 'Web' fonts in FontBook.... and in there was the rogue font, disguising itself as Ariel...

That’s odd, because I found this weird font called Arial which was pretending to be Helvetica.
