Anyone know the code for that? Layout is being investigated atm. Just getting the functional bits working first whilst I assemble the design team.

This should change if/when a new layout is put in place, as the majority of layouts have the avatars on the left anyway, for some reason the Phpbb3 default doesn't.

I have that code change somewhere...
I'll find it later when I get back from work.
The phpBB3 default style has the profile on the right because the avatar/user info shouldn't be the first thing your eyes are drawn to - when they are on the left they 'get in the way' of the conversation, or that's how I understand the decision was made.

I figured that was the reason, and it does make sense... except everyone here is already used to the other way around! It's one of those questions where the "right choice" is over ruled by "backwards familiarity". People find that being backwards is more comfortable, and reject logical progress. I think it could work if the border between posts was more obvious. All the info is there, but I find distinguishing posts is awkward.

So what, a higher contrast of colours?

It seems fine to me. But then, I'm looking at it on a colour calibrated screen. A choice of skins would be better, I think. Then folk can set the one they like in their user profile.

I'm sorry, but that Vista skin somebody just installed was plain awful Peter.

Sorry, just checking the new skins worked. Changed it back.
There's a few to have a look at, you can change them in your user CP.

One thing to note is that most modifications install on a single skin, so you will have to install them multiple times. For this reason, most forums just have a single skin. It depends on how lazy you feel to be honest Peter.

Couldn't find the edit button on this theme ... Anyway, I find that the thread with the latest post isn't moving to the top f the list, anyway this can be sorted? It's getting rather confusing unto which has been posted in most recent. >> Dave

Hmm... I just posted a reply but it disappeared?!
Anywho...
I really like the Poziom one. The Aero Blue one isn't bad either. I don't like the AvalonBlue or the SubSilver.
My favourite would be the 4Poziom one.
I feel a poll coming on.
