Mozilla retires Firefox 4 from security support

Firefox 5 is essentially the security update for Firefox 4, if you know what I mean. There's also a security update for Firefox 3.6 (.18) for those not able to install Firefox 4 or 5 (i.e. PowerPC users).

Must be a fairly major security update to justify a whole new number.

They've dropped the . numbers now.

From now on it will be 5, 6, 7, etc...

The next release in a few months will be Firefox 6.
