Hotmail, or whatever it is M$ like to call it these days, has changed !

There suddenly seems to be no way top tell the computer to "remember" you.

When clicking "Hotmail" from the MSN home page I used to get a list of accounts...... mine, my wife's etc and would just click on the account I wanted to open. The password was stored. Since just before the weekend (I think) it now offers a blank login page with no facility to tell the pc to "remember me". I can't be certain but I think there was an OS update late last week.

Anyone else had this happen to them and does any one have a solution please or do I just have to wait for M$ to realise what's happened and make a change ?

IIRC it's because they've gone to exchange 2010 on the back end - Hotmail is now just one part of 'office 365'. They took the 'remember the password' feature out of Exchange 2010's web interface. When we asked them about this in the middle of our upgrade they said it was an 'enhanced security feature' :?

Hi Jon

Presumably this change took effect late last week then as I had no problem til Friday or Saturday when I tried to log in as normal.

Talk about taking a backward step !

I think they've been using exchange 2010 email for a while but 'Office 365' launched quite recently; I'd assumed the web front end code may have got changed with that.

I'm glad it's not just me having the issue.

I've found that if you select 'Keep Me Signed In' it does remember the user name sometimes (but not the password) but it's not consistent. Does seem to be a bit of a backward step in usability for a pretty marginal improvement in security.
