Morning all

Wife & Kid come back yesterday so am rather knackered due to them getting back to London at 6pm & not really wanting to get in rush hour tube traffic with a 3 year old & a pushchair/bags.
Ended up getting back at 9:30pm then had to unpack them etc before going to bed.

Hopefully should be a good day at work. Planning to destroy our network & rebuild & reconfigure it.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Good morning all.

Wet start to the day, but the cloud is breaking up now, and blue skies are peeking through the gaps.

Have a good one.

Morning folks,

Air con sounds like it's trying to take off. At least it's not as stinky in the office as it is in the lab - day 2 of weighing out marine sediment from near a fish farm - suffice to say it is not a happy smell (unless you happen to like rotten eggs and ammonia).

Have a great day folks.

Lo peeps

Am a bit shattered from the long weekend but today is injection day so might perk up a bit in the afternoon :|

Piccy comp is worth a look this month as there are some cracking entries - vote now and rest happy in the knowledge that you've made someones day :D

Weather is overcast today but reasonably warm. Some pratt has parked in front of my drive so my next door neighbour has parked close to the car and another neighbour has parked the other side of him blocking his car in completely. I've left a note for the driver to come see me if he wants out but cautioned him that the cars either side of his would not be moved for the same length of time that he blocked me in for. This retirement is fun ;)

Today I produced not quite as much lung-snot as yesterday; this illness may be abating.

Paracetamol, Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine FTMFW!

Morning all.

I'd really like to know what on Earth East Coast trains are playing at. Pretty much every other train operating company has put their tickets on sale up to 23rd of September. EC is only available up to the 16th. It's extremely annoying when you want to book tickets to go on holiday and they won't release the damn things.

Anywho, have a great day folks.

Hello.

Nearly through week two of the new day job. I am definitely an außlander. The permanent staff and longer term freelancers have all got good working relationships going and it's taking me ages to slot in. I'm not a very gregarious person at best, and my name memory is appalling. Which one is Chris again? Alex? Mel? Gilly? Ack.

Anyway, off to check the traffic, because something was occurring just beyond my motorway turnoff that might cause me a problem this morning.

Morning Wurld,

I defeated the weed matting monster that has been marauding in the paddock since we moved in. It was a bloody battle and ended with me standing victorious upon the dead and shredded body of said monster, after which Red put it in the wheelbarrow and hauled it to the rubbish tip. I was a bit shattered, with wellies and gloves full of grass seed, so after a cup of tea and a relax we retired indoors and had a huge omelette for dinner with cheese and ham!

I was awoken at 03:38 today by Elmer who was holding down my arm with his massive lions paws and chewing on my elbow, it took some dissuading to allow me to get back to sleep again hence I am still quite tired today and can see a long lie-in coming my way on Saturday. We have my parents and nephews arriving to stay on Saturday afternoon, the boys will be camping in the dining room which should be fun and if the weather holds we'll have a fire with s'mores on Saturday night, burn off all the dry grass I have scythed up.

Work is still busy and taking up all my time which is quite irritating. Our team structure (which would reduce my workload by 2 people) has been rejected and our boss has to go back to the drawing board. I'm trying not to think about it because it has a history of making me either incandescent with rage or burst into tears.

On we go ....

Morning all.

Heavy rain, misery, suffering, death... well, alright... maybe not death.

Does not bode well for the company golf day tomorrow, and I have a title to defend. That wooden spoon still has my name on it, and I'll be damned if I'm gunna let a bit of water rob me of what's rightfully mine!
