Surely a religious atheist is an oxymoron? Also is "pastafarianism" an accepted "religion"? If not, then it's a moot point and should not be allowed IMO.

True Who is to say what is an isn't a religion - surely if you accomadate 1 "belief system" then you must accomadate all provided that they stay within the law

If your belief set is constructed in a way that you believe it is a religion (or not in the case of atheism) then it shouldn't matter whether someone else considers it a religion or not. Its a religion. No one has the right IMHO to say whether a religion is accepted or not. Me, well I'm a fully paid up member of the church of subgenius.

My dad always said, "the more extreme the religious belief, the more extreme the headwear".

Indeed. If you are an atheist, then really you have no invisible means of support whatsoever, and certainly don’t need the backup of a quasi-religious group be it Flying Spaghetti Monsters, SciFi films, the Humanist Association, or anything else.

I prefer this bit: I can't stand that some Americans are trying to teach intelligent design as science. It belongs in the RE class and nowhere else!!!

Not really - As the "Rejection of Dogma" is the Dogma I can reject the rejection of the "rejection of Dogma" and so have a Dogma .... if you follow me
