So far not impressed with it.
Half the features don't seem to work

As I'm skint until Monday, I shall necessarily wait and see what you brave few think of it. I'm tempted by the idea of the USB version though.

You can make one yourself from the download.

The fancy gesture controls. Double 2 finger tap isn't bringing up mission control. Single finger swipes don't work. The scroll thing is wrong (the picture does the opposite of the button) The icons look wrong on Outlook & it's very grey

On a related (Lion) note:
iTunes 10.4 is available via software update (even for creaky old PowerPC macs like mine). Safari 5.1 (Snow Leopard and Lion) and Safari 5.0.6 (Leopard) are also available (although so far 5.0.6 was only available through the Apple downloads pages, it didn't show up in SU).

It is by default (which feels wrong as I'm not on a touchscreen). But the picture/video for "natural" scrolling shows scrolling down makes the page scroll down but it doesn't. Even with this disabled launchpad still scrolls the wrong way (i.e. ipad like)

I'm pleased the scrolling is now iPad/iPhone like. If you don't have a touch device I can see how that would be annoying, but for me it's the natural way it should be. Mark

I'm using 10.6 and there's no Safari update for me. My current version is 5.0.5. Mark

It might be a lion specific update. MacUpdate desktop is telling be about Safari 5.1 as well.

You can get Safari 5.1 for SL (I'm using it now) but it doesn't seem to show up in Software Update for some reason. The download image can be nabbed at the usual place.I'm now running Lion on my 'media centre' mac mini. I find the gestures and full screen apps very very useful on that. Now I just need Elgato to update EyeTV....

I'm sure I read somewhere that in the Beta versions there's an option to reverse the scrolling behaviour, unless Apple have maybe removed this from the final edition? I'd check out System Preferences and see if there's anything in there do do with scrolling or gestures. As I'm stuck on 10.5 and PowerPC Macs, Lion is but a distant dream for me at the moment!

It's in there, on the trackpad system pref. It's a tickbox against something called (IIRC) 'Natural Scrolling'. Which, of course, if you tick it means the direction of scroll is entirely un-natural for anyone who has ever used a desktop computer... Overall I'm quite impressed with it so far. I'm not using it for anything complicated of course, so far it's just the mini media centre. And I'm not at all using Launchpad, but Mission Control I like a lot and the full screen apps on a 'media PC' work really well. I may have to up the default font size a bit though. Next up is the house server, which is going get Lion Server as soon as I can rustle up another iTunes card. Jon
