100% of the information I've seen or heard about her has been in relation to a drink and drugs problem, so no real surprise in hearing of her death. A shame for her family, friends and fans I guess but at least they can't be disappointed by her in the future.

Is this real then, or have Lulzsec hacked the beeb?

If it is true, I'm not the least bit surprised.

A tragedy for them and, I have to say, a shame for the rest of us. She really did have a fantastic voice before they threw it all away. A great pity.

Not unless they've hacked everywhere else as well.

Well, you got the feeling it was only a matter of time, unless she changed her ways. I'm not a huge fan of hers, but I do remember seeing her early appearance on Jonathan Ross' show and she was a really pretty girl with a stunning voice - it's such a shame that the drugs and booze ravaged that over the years. It would have been interesting to see how her career would have been if the drugs hadn't robbed us of that talent.
:(

I must admit, I didn't realise she was only 27 - she looks much, much, older than that. Guess that's the drugs!

It's a real shame she couldn't look out for herself; and she never found someone to really look out for her. She always seemed something of a lonely little girl. Very sad.

+1 to that too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened to Pete Doherty in a few years.

Have you got him in your dead pool?

It was only a matter of time considering her lifestyle. Hardly surprising.

I'll be frank and say I hope it does - the amount of drugs and potential manslaughter/murder cases he's effectively got away with... you could probably call it karma.

Every new year, you choose someone who you think will die that year and the people who are right take the money.

Strange how this all seemed so inevitable but I was still quite shocked to hear of her death. I'm no great fan of her style of music but there's no doubt she was a real talent.

Pete Doherty, on the other hand, has no discernible talent and adds nothing to humanity whatsoever. The sooner he pops off the better.

While, given her reported lifestyle, it's no great shock that she finally lost the fight against the booze and drugs the death of someone so young (and with a quite incredible voice when it was working) is sad.

She really should have said Yes Yes Yes to rehab.
I feel a bit bad about writing that but it was bound to be said at some point
