+1 Given the extreme agony standing still gives me (trapped nerves in my back), I won't go to anything that I know requires me to queue up. Museums are bad enough, the slow walking between exhibits and standing in front of them, to study them, becomes excrutiating after 30 minutes or so.

Our trip to the National Gallery, last month, was brilliant and I saw some wonderful paintings, but it was also very painful.

The Telegraph website has a photo slideshow of comic-con. The captions are hilarious - the author clearly has no idea about some of the characters and runs out of things to say; so the majority of captions just say "people in costume attending Comic-Com".

Yes there are lots of photos and I have no idea of who most of the characters are. Slave Leia are easy to identify but there so many different characters.

Some of the characters look so similar to each other (even across different mediums/media) that a full-on geek could get confused

I'd love to see the con get an even bigger venue...

Brilliant and powerful clip of L. Ron Hubbard's great Grandson, Jamie DeWolf, filmed in 2011.

Probably posted already but today was the first time I recall seeing it … Who said the Green party have no bollocks?.
Language NSFW.
