This put a downer on the day and I had only been up 5 mins before I saw it on the news. Since I have neither Sky or Virgin and I wont be subscribing to either, I can only watch half the races unless I use my parents Sky login and watch it online on the PC
As for the Concorde Agreement, Bernie thought "[LIFTED] it" and trousers a load of cash.

Which is a lot if it is the only thing you watch on that channel. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.

Er, no, Mr Ecclestone. You get the best of both words. What we get, unless we shell out £30-40 a month for Sky Sports HD, is half a season's races and some squeezed-in-to-the-schedule highlights show. Thanks a f**king bunch, you greedy little hobbit. I refuse to give Murdoch any of my hard-earned, thank you very much. I love F1, but not that much to pay hundreds of pounds a year to watch the other 10 races that the BBC don't screen live. Let's be honest, if the BBC keep the same team (and TBH that's far from certain) I'd much rather watch BBC's coverage than Sky's on the races where they double-up. I don't think you can improve on the BBC's coverage, especially when you factor in the ad breaks on Sky in the race (which they'll surely do). They'll have to be offering much more to make up for the commercials breaking into the action.

£15 (basic sub) £12 (sky sports sub) £10 (HD sub) =£37 total To get it in as nice a quality as you got it for a tenner a month on the BBC. Jon

If I wanted a Sky subscription I would have got one years ago.

Not sure what channel it will actually be on but Virgin have a Sky Sports 1 + 2 package.
It's about £15 a month.

Yes but unless you have their basic free tv package and phone you will also need to add that on top. I was looking at FreeSat as a solution to get BBC HD. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.

Just going to have to go to the pub to watch the races. That's going to cost a bloody sight more than £15 a month Al

Ah, the main reason I mentioned Virgin is because I truly detest ADSL broadband. Had nothing but bad experiences especially as I used to have cable. So if I was going to pay for any subscription I would go with Virgin and get the TV and broadband.

Also, just a note to add. I was on the Sky website earlier and clicked on the pop-up window to "chat now" to a sales advisor person.
About 10 mins into the chat I suddenly had a very odd feeling that I was talking to a computer.
I checked through my answers and with some clever natural text parsing it would be very easy to recreate their side of the conversation.
I still don't know for certain whether it was a real person or a computer.
