If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Either this supply boat has really slow pumps, or they're just too weedy to cope with the height of this rig.
It's taking ages to pump the mud on board.

It's what everyone calls Drilling Fluid.
Technically I'm a Drilling Fluids Engineer. On a rig, everyone refers to us as Mud Engineers.

Cool, i was just wondering if the rig is producing oil, is there still a need for the fluid or is it a case of you're only needed when you're actually drilling a new well? :) /noob questions

It's only needed while drilling a well, or (as is the case here) when killing an old one.

Bugger! I have to get up in the middle of the day to cover the day shift engineers who are crew changing today.
Every other day this trip there's been nothing to do, but today they're busy.

ARSE BISCUITS!!!!

No, that's just me quoting what my mate Mal says when he's annoyed.

I ordered my laptop almost two weeks ago. Up until Thursday, it was waiting to be built. On Thursday, I got an email to say it was being built, another to say it was being tested, and another to say it was despatched!

So it should have arrived yesterday. So what happened? I got a call yesterday around midday from the courier to say they were trying to deliver it. Sadly, it was the moment we were driving to the funeral so it'll have to be delivered on Monday.

In all honesty, I was expecting it next week.

Sat in the office on a weekend rebuilding my home server while catching up on some other bits

Music playing, cold drinks out

Would be nice to be able to work like this a lot more
