It's only a gimmick to show you've just had a baby. Congratulations, you've procreated, how original of you.

I think it was Ben Elton who said that he wanted to have a similar sign made that read "I have not been fortunate enough to be blessed with children; however, I would still appreciate you not ploughing into the back of my car" I want one of those ....

He was probably trying to see the cute ikle baby. I mean, that is what the sign is for?

Doesn't even guarantee successful replication given adoption or even kidnapping

On a similar note I came back to the car (my sports car which I bought this year after much saving) to find a scratch and a dent on the back, looks like somone has hit it with their numberplate or reversed into it.
No note left, nothing, bastards.

Yeah, I've got a dent and a bit of someone else's paint on my car. Just noticed it the other day. Makes my blood boil.

Must be a woman driver. Clearly did not know that she hit anything. I have a friend who had that happen to them in a supermarket car park. So he now leaves his car at the far end of the car park to avoid getting hit. Still does not stop cars coming and parking next to him.

12 hour shift due to finish at 06:00. Actually finished at 14:45 Unannounced boat drill at tea time, right in the middle of the time I'd negotiated off to sleep.

German plates are better. They are embossed. After my car was hit, I could read the numberplate imprint on my rear bumper! No way she could deny hitting me!

As long as they are in a position to emboss what they hit. If recessed then you might never know.

I've got pressed plates on my car. German fonts are illegal though here in the UK.

I've got personalised plates, which here means then come in a little box that you fit where the plate should be. Plates here are embossed and metal however this particular car didn't leave an imprint!

Not quite Prof. A few years ago I was in traffic when this gent decided to overtake me and then proceed to slow down so a substantial gap appeared in front of him. Having a fairly nifty car, I overtook him (legally) and proceeded to leave him nursing the same large gap behind me whilst he slowly receded in my mirrors. When the police arrived to give me a caution following the git reporting me, it was explained to me that his passenger (wife) had heart trouble and that I should have been aware that my actions were likely to increase the chances of her having and 'episode'. I tried to discuss with the officers the fact that there were no external signs to indicate the occupants should be treated any differently but the officers reply was that it was my responsibility to ensure that I did not cause stress and alarm whilst driving the car. He then went on to describe a recent case where white van man had been tailgating a car and eventually ran into the back of it. White van man was charged and had to appear in court where the Procurator Fiscal (in Scotland) used the 'baby on board' sign in his questioning and the Sheriff (Noel McParlin) in summing up used white van mans disregard of the 'baby on board' sign (silly man said he had seen it) to hammer him with extra points on his license and an increased fine. To round the story up, after the incident I decided to sit the Advanced Driving Test. Now, if there's ever an incident I'm involved in, I give my side of the story to the police as if in 'advanced driving mode (I was travelling along East Road in the centre safety position, my speed was... gear was... Having just done a 3 mirror check, the hazards I was concentrating on as I saw them were.... when white van man......) - it makes a difference. One evening we had a guest speaker at our Advanced Driving instructional session and it turned out to be the Sheriff who related the case of white van man and the 'baby on board' sign commenting that because white van man had intentionally ignored the sign and yet still ran into the back of the vehicle, he had no option but to increase the penalties to white van man. He also commented that even if he had the option he would have added them anyway. I'll do anything to protect my kids and if that means having a 'kids on board' sticker on my sexy sports car then I'll do it - nowt to do with my conscience Al PS - I don't have a sexy sports car........

That's just pants Al. If she had a medical condition that was that unstable, she should be in hospital. If it's stable, your actions posed no danger. I would ask what that condition was.
