I'm so used to having the curtains closed all of the time that today, I left them closed. But as soon as I heard the rain start to fall, I went to open them.

I do like rain - I love the sound, I love the atmosphere when it rains (especially during the warmer climate), and especially love the feeling in the air just before it rains, particularly just before a thunderstorm. I also remember a lot of my childhood being indoors when it was raining on a Saturday afternoon, watching TV or doing homework etc. Never enjoyed a rainy day on a Sunday as much for some reason.

Does anyone else like rain?

I like it. Usually.

Not today.

After us being away for 3 weeks the GF's brakes have seized up and it ain't moving. Managed a bit of forward and reverse with a bit of rocking and freed up the front left. Now just the rear left is stuck and dragging as it's getting no purchase on the wet drive because of the badly timed rain.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a tad drier and I can twat it with the hammer and get use what grip a dry spell will give me.

Usually though, very refreshing.

I prefer it when I am not going out. Nice to watch from indoors.

The only time I don't like it is if I'm going into town for comics :) , otherwise it's great for sorting out Ulster's seemingly permanent humidity problem and the various dickheads who get in my way when I'm marching somewhere (that's not a local thing, I just have long legs  ). As a general rule I like the sight and sound of it, always have :D

I [LIFTED] love rain.

There's no such thing as bad weather, you're just wearing the wrong clothes. Best in the countryside, get a waterproof jacket on and walk slowly, or strip down to your t-shirt and hike up the hill, it's water, it won't kill you. make sure you have spare, dry, warm clothes for when you get back to camp, and a nice ale if there's a pub, with a fire. Perfect.

I like any weather that's 'doing' something. Sunny, still days are as boring as hell.

I prefer proper rain to drizzle - rain seems less wet somehow....... I love the rain but since the accident I can't control my body temperature like I used to be able to and with the nerves now sending signals to god knows where in the bod, it results in being only able to recognise extremes - either too hot or too cold. The warning signal of shivering now comes too late and I tend to suffer as a result so I now tend to don the waterproofs rather than do the t-shirt thing.

I don't like the rain. I really hate waterproofs as I get hot and sweaty quite quickly, stripping to a t-shirt is all well and good if you end up somewhere to change. At work I'm constantly in and out so I constant get wet and have to sit in wet gear for an hour before going out again.

If I end up at home it's not too bad, nice warm, dry clothes waiting...

My favourite weather is a good cold, still day. Sun is optional.

Sounds like you're wearing heavy Gore Tex, about as breathable as a bin liner. Try and eVent or GorTex Paclite jacket, such as http://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/index.cf ... _-11110648 I have a very nice Montane jacket that's fully waterproof, detergent washable and nice and breathable. However any waterproof jacket will make you sweat if you do anything strenuous.
