There's a episode of 'Bottom' - unsurprisingly called 'Riot' I believe - which runs with that particular line of humour quite admirably. Available on all your favourite internet sites, I'd imagine.

EDIT: I was mistaken, the episode is called 'carnival'.

Tottenham was the catalyst.

Whenever a series of crimes occurs it almost always gets replicated in other areas.

jonbwfc I was behind her in a queue today - but I wouldn't describe it as 'bushy'.

In South Africa they would use bird-shot.

I never understand the rioters mentality. If you're going to break and burn things, don't burn your own or other poor people's things. Go somewhere rich and preferably Tory and burn their stuff instead.

It's not rocket science.

That is what caused it to kick off in the first place. I will accept that a large element is now purely criminally minded.

Damn big fire in Croydon at the moment. Just watching it on BBC news and there's no sign of fire service or police taking action. Scum setting buildings on fire when there could be people inside. How can London be expected to provide real security at the Olympics if they're stretched to the point of ineffectiveness? The police seem utterly unable to cope.

I do wonder how call-me-Dave will be able to justify cuts to the Policing budget if the riots continue...
