It's been almost two weeks since I've had my laptop. I've started to set things up the way I like. But I didn't have any new games to test it out with.

Just started playing NFS:MW - this was something that ran at medium settings on my old laptop, but on this one, even maxing out the settings doesn't seem to tax the laptop much. I've got Splinter Cell Double Agent and Conspiracy awaiting to be delivered as I enjoyed the previous releases of the series.

At the mo, BLOPS is satisfying my need for FPS. I'm after games that are PC-specific or best played on PC. My PS3 will still be my primary gaming machine, but want something for those times when I can't be arsed to turn it on.

Any ideas?

If you want to test the laptop, Crysis 2 with the DX11 patch installed will give it a hefty work out. I also quite like the game on it's playing merits as well ;).

He should actually buy Portal 2 for the PS3, because then he can play the game in both places since that gets you a copy of the PC version thrown in for free.

Very true but a quick price search shows the PC only version at almost £10 cheaper than the PS3 one.
