Yes, I remember getting to the third (?) level once. I also remember the password was MIRADOR. Given that that was about 20 years ago you can probably guess how momentous the occasion was! The only problem was that if you used the password to get to that level then you didn't have the power ups available from the previous levels and so stood no chance of completing it. I even remember the level bosses too! First level was a big round robot thingy. I managed to get past a 3 headed dragon once or twice too. Awesome game by the 4th dimension ::EDIT:: By Graeme Richardson and distributed by 4th Dimension. He made the game in sixth form!

By platform and rough chronological
Populous
G Police Tomb Raider Tenchu
GTA3 GT3 Vice City San Andreas
HL2 CS:S
Played many more but these were the ones that I would pull an all nighter for.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

For me that's a very short list. Descent and Quake in multi-player, mostly against the same opponent... and Elite, not in multi-player as such but always with a group of other people very much involved. These days, my all nighters are mostly RP played with paper and dice For me, it's mostly about when the drink runs out

There's just far too many games over the years that for one reason or another have done it for me. I've tried to pick out a few memories here.
Firearms (PC Half Life mod) - my first experience fragging people online many years before COD on PS3/360
Daytona USA (Arcade) - OMG the graphics! Not seen anything like it before at the time Daaaaaaaaaaaytona.....
Virtua Racing (Arcade) - See above
Resident Evil (PS1) - Scary as hell, began a genre
Sonic (MD) - Ensured I had a Mega Drive under the Xmas tree that year!
Mario Kart / Pilotwings / Star Fox (SNES) - The games that could have turned me from a Sega fanboy to Nintendo
Flashback (MD) - The first game I ever preordered
Sonic CD (MegaCD) - Hands down the best Sonic game with an intro and soundtrack blew me away
Doom (PC) - Sold all my Sega stuff to contribute and convinced dad to buy me a PC for Xmas for this
Final Fantasy VII (PS1) - My first FF game and a memorable one
Championship Manager (PC) - Played this for years and continued throughout uni when I should have been in lectures or bed
Command and Conquer / World of Warcraft / Half Life (PC) - More PC games over the years that kept me up all night playing
Gran Turismo 2 (Dreamcast via Bleem) - My favourite GT game
I'm sure I'll think of more

Oh my, wow, now there was a classic. I feel it remiss to not say I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed playing TIE Fighter & Dark Forces when I was younger - they certainly aren't in my " Games of All Time " list - (games like Gunship 2000 would be ahead of them, but equally, not in my previous shortlist) but yes, they were good good fun.
