All I can think is “how the mighty have fallen”. Walked into town yesterday, to find that former model Jordan was signing her new magazine. Not a book, not even a “book-a-azine” - just a magazine. The location was the recently vacated JJB Sports shop. We walked past the place about 40 minutes to an hour before said event was to take place. There was no one there apart from about 5 police officers and a security guard. This is the scene about 30 minutes after she was supposed to be mobbed by throngs of clacking screeching women hoping that some of her talent would rub off on them: High Chelmer by hairydalek, on Flickr Literally a few people turned up. In the picture above, I’d say that one person may have been thinking of entering the cavernously empty shop. I saw three people carrying copies of her publication in town. I also saw some papparazi outside Lloyds bank. They had some seriously [LIFTED] off lenses, but seemed more keen on having a smoke than sneaking into the shopping centre and banging a few shots off. This reminds me of the Westfield debacle where there was expected to be thousands of people turning up to see her, but no one did and her helpers were trying to persuade ordinary shoppers to take part. I think choosing Chelmsford as a location is that it’s fairly small, and you can make a small throng of people look like quite the heaving crowd. Anyway, the market has moved back t its rightful place, and it seems that there was more interest in that. Message to the Price woman: give up.

She did a book signig in a "south essesx" town a couple of years back. It seemed like about 2x14 year old boys turned up.

Would it be too slanderous an assumption to make that Katie Price's fan base aren't exactly big readers?

I believe they sold well. I'd be interested to know what percentage of them were actually read.

I think the early ones did well but later ones had sub 1000 sales.

Neither. They're both dreadful creatures.
