I can’t see myself every being able to retire gracefully. I’ll probably keep on going until I either drop or have some kind of mental melt down. I’m not expecting some rich eccentric millionaire to give me a big bag of money.

While I would love to retire.........now!........unfortunately the lack of money is stopping me

As it is my previous job had a retirement age of 60 (and I am in my mid 40’s now) and assuming the pension fund (final salary) does not go bust then I will gte something then

My current job the retirement age is currently 65 although with the change in legislation I guess I could apply to carry on working

In an ideal world I would want from my early 60’s to start working part time at my current / similar job (& pay) so that I can enjoy myself while still able to. By that stage my mortgage would be paid off so we would be better off and could take the loss in income in going part time
