Did a search and there didn't seem to be one. After a completely [LIFTED] 2011 I finally have some good news so I thought I would share.

My boyfriend has been out of work for most of this year but recently started temping as a laborer just to get out and about again (he is a qualified plasterer with 20 odd years experience). Within a week he was given a new role as number 2 to site manager on a server room expansion project for a big well known company. He also got sent on a 1st aid course and was the only one to pass with 100%.

Yesterday we found out the company he's working for want him permanently and he has been offered a job with them. They're a massive construction company who specialise in corporate work and one of the big projects they've been regularly working on is the Gherkin building in London. He's so chuffed and it just goes to show that if you take a lower job than are actually qualified it may lead to something better.

:D

Today I got feedback on a Fire Risk Assessment I did this week, my first as a freelance consultant, client wrote "very comprehensive and exactly what we needed" and they've asked me to quote for an Emergency Evac plan and general workplace risk assessment for the same premises!!

Somehow I arrived here expecting to find Jesus :)

Good to hear that some people have good news rather than more rants!
