Ooooh, well spotted! I'm fairly sure you're right, Mark. In the first episode, didn't he spit out a mouthful of apple during the "eating" scene? I might have a check in a while. Or wait until Brooke comes home from school and ask her. I swear she's a bigger Doctor Who geek than me!

So just who are we watching then? And, yes, I fully appreciate the recessiveness of that question.

All will be revealed but the first thing that springs to mind that it is the copy of the doctor, the one that gets killed at the end of the first episode but doesnt appear until later in the series and.. my head hurts now

Werre there not a few lingering shots of the shoe area?
Seem to recall something about different shoes/socks.

Yes there was a Flesh copy of the Doctor. And, yes, there were different shoes. And, yes, I suspect that time travel is at play here too. Who did The Doctor see behind Door 11? The Doctor, of course. And I bet the impossible astronaut is the Doctor as well.

Mrs. V asked who was behind dorr 11, and I also said "It must be the Doctor... Who else?" I'm fairly sure I also mentioned to someone that it wouldn't surprise me if the astronaut was also the doctor... was it here that I mentioned it, or somewhere else? Meh.

or an empty room, the doctor facing eternity alone? or the dead bodies of his companions knowing he has caused their deaths?

Last night's episode... Wow! One of the best to date, (in the 11th Doctor's tenure) I thought. It had funny bits, (as you would expect with James Corden) it had... Oh, hang on. Spoilers!

Have to agree, last nights Ep was excellent and sets up next weeks series finale beautifully.
It was interesting watching Confidential afterwards, with Moffat talking about "The Impossible Astronaut" after the events of last night. So much he wasn't saying.

Something that I can only imagine will turn up in the radio controlled range of toys by the end of the year.

lol I did think that; perfect for terrorising baby sisters with. I thought it was a rather naff episode to be honest. It was a disconbobulated jumble of scene-setting for next week, childish humour, a weak recycled plot and dodgy acting. Nice to see they had so much fun making it. Maybe it was just me being in a rotten mood - feeling grumpy with a really bad cold kinda ruining my weekend.
