Two jobs have come up, one in Macao and the other in Grand Cayman. Should I apply?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I would. But I have friends in Hong Kong and that's only a hop away from Macau.

A potential promotion/career change might be coming up, I had a meeting about it Monday which went reletively well however I'm now back to playing the waiting game again.
I'm also trying to find the motivation to focus on the weight loss I want, oddly enough I've piled on the pounds since moving here (I thought it'd be the opposite given the weather and wider availability to sports) and I really want to reverse that in the coming months.

Grand Cayman being a tax haven might have its advantages. Plus in the Caribbean so plenty of sun.

I've just read one of my cousin's poems. It wasn't bad actually...
...
...
... It was totally and utterly, monumentally, catastrophically woeful in every way. I am now dumber for having read it and have wasted a minute of my life that I cannot reclaim.

That I could do with a 'Search Play.com' FF add-on like I have for Amazon... Also just what changes Play's new owners will make

It's irrelevant what changes the new owners will make. The important change is in three months time when Curious George boots the Channel Islands VAT loophole into touch and Play's prices go up 20% overnight. The previous owners played a blinder selling out when they did.

That was part of what I was considering (a guy in work mentioned George's brilliant move, I had actually forgot about it. Wish he had the balls to take on Vodaphone etc, snivelling [LIFTED]) which also made me wonder about Amazon and some of it's operations? I gave up on CD Wow and the like a while ago (though they were avoiding a few issues by shipping from China as I understood it)... Edit - Some useful info here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/pers ... anese.html

If light travels so frocking fast, how come when you shine a torch at a feather, the feather doesn't move? Or does it?

It does, a bit. Ever seen those evacuated bulbs with little solar windmills in? Actually most of those work because it's not a pure vacuum and the dark side of the sails warms the remaining molecules more than the shiny side, so they turn the opposite way than you might expect from radiation pressure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crookes_radiometer

Thanks for the link, very cool, but it has been proven incorrect that it is moved by the pressure exerted by the light. Mind you, Jeffrey Archer may have written that bit for all we know, it is Wikipedia after all. / outnumbered reference. OMCN! This is perhaps the most difficult to understand splurge of information I've ever seen, i like the feeling of suddenly finding myself waaaay out of my intellectual depth http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface_plasmon
