What a crap day mate. Hope the venting helped.

I often find if so many things go tits up in one day it starts becoming funny. Well, either funny or I go hysterical, I can't really say. :D

The venting did help, thanks :) Although I'm also annoyed I posted it in the wrong thread ;)

And yeah, I agree; at the end of the day I just sat down and laughed, I honestly couldn't believe the course of events.

I successfully had new tyres installed last night anyway, so I am at least mobile again. I must say though, that I was enjoying catching the bus a couple of stops to work and walking the rest of the way, so this may be something I continue to do a few times a week. Every cloud and all that.

Good. Maybe they can tell the difference between Woodlands Road and Woodland Road, especially when people use the different postcodes correctly.

Given trackpads have been around for twenty years, it'a amazing that you didn't know how to use one. A bit like minidiscs but more ubiquitous.

Sorry for the delay in reply, but the apple ones are weird. Maybe I'm trying to use it like the trackpads on pc laptops that I know on pcs. Tapping it in the middle does nothing, dragging on the right does nothing. As far as I can work out, all you can do is move the pointer around with your finger.

Once someone shows me how it works and I get used to it, I'm sure I'll love it and wonder why trackpads never worked like that before, but at the moment all I can think is that it doesn't work like any trackpad I've ever seen and there seems to be no logic as to how it does work.

The apple store has a lot of staff working on a sunday. And hollister is crazy, so fake, but also so unbelievably awesome in a fake yet awesome sort of way. And also, I can't believe how bumpkin I've got that the whole of west quay retail park blew my mind. Consumerism has moved on since I last got involved. I was really staggered to see people getting so obsessed about what tee shirt to buy when it didn't seem to be any different to the one they were wearing and the light was so bloody dim. I think I'm getting old!

No, you're a Dad.
It has begun.
You've fulfilled your evolutionary imperative of producing a child, all that's left now is to complain that things aren't like they used to be and how all this was fields when you were little. ;)

Amazing how it happens. At least I can programme the video to record though. Although that skill seems to be a little outdated now.

I think you need to give logic two fingers. Or three.

Where you going?

My stomach is turning and I think it's something to do with that fish'n'chips meal at a motorway servive station. I'd eaten only a muller rice thing at 0700 and by that point it was 1430, so I was desparate for hot food. It was lukewarm at best, the fish batter was greasy and I swear the fish was slightly undercooked.

Sainsburys search function has not been very helpful :
Quote:
We couldn't find any result for 'tooheys', but we did find 28 results for 'soothers'

These are displayed below arranged by category. If none of these results are helpful, please search again with a different keyword.

We also have results for:

toes
soother

Maybe my Aussie mate will fancy a pint of toes when he comes down. :?

Nice. Sent via Facebook by a girl I shagged a few times and I'm now friends with, in response to a slightly impudent, yet funny, comment about her relationship with her boyfriend after getting back together with him for the 50th time this year.

SPAG Police be dammed.

Any ideas now? I'm thinking there's a [LIFTED] in there somewhere...
