If you eat a lot of fattening food eventually most humans will get fat. Curry is very fattening.

Also there is a time during adulthood when your body doesn't burn food like it used to and if you don't adjust the amount you eat you'll get a bigger waistline.

If you really want to eat lots of curry try exercising to burn it off.

Not all curry is fattening. There's a world of difference between say homecooked indian curry and the stuff you get in takeaways.

Know thy curry, Bratty!

I would consider myself to have had any experience of being "fat". But I know of what you speak. Caz is right. You need to adjust the amount you eat. It hit me at around 25, so I suspect that's what you're getting into.

But it's not just the amount you eat, it's what you eat, how you eat it, and what exercise you do.

As Arnold J. Rimmer said,

When you're younger you can eat what you like, drink what you like, and still climb into your 26" waist trousers and zip them closed. Then you reach that age, 24-25, your muscles give up, they wave a little white flag, and without any warning at all you're suddenly a fat bastard

In the past, I was dreadfully skinny. Other half tells me that it didn’t look healthy when the thickest part of my legs were my knees. OK, I’d been ill, but still.

Since I moved in with her, I’ve put on weight. I’m not fat, but there are times when I feel it. Clothes don’t just hang off my shoulders any more, and there are times when it feels wrong. In reality, I don’t look large, and I get checked for such things at my asthma checkups when I go. They’ve not told me I should lose weight, so I’m not stressing about it.

What I am trying to say is that it could be that you are just becoming a more normal size and shape for your age. You say you are doing more driving now - if you a`re driving heavy machinery, I’d guess that that would involve more physical work than a car would require, so you may be bulking up a bit with extra muscle mass. Still, it’s not a bad idea to look at what you are doing and eating and see if there are areas where you can make improvements. A curry every night may not be the best choice - keep them as a treat rather than as a staple part of your diet.

I too have plenty of experience. I don't really have anything meaningful to add to that already stated, though.

If you want to get fat, regularly drink fizzy pop. I was going to say "sodas" then realised that's just because I spent a month in the US recently (and put on weight rapidly).

Also waffles and cream for breakfast, coffees with sugar and assorted burgers/pancakes.
