Oh yes, if it's proper missions and such, I'd be more inclined to pay. When playing B:AA, the interesting bits for me were things like the story/plot. Not a fan of beat'em ups these days so the brawl stuff wasn't particularly interesting for me, hence why I won't be paying for any Challenge maps.

Wonder if we'll get to see Bruce:

These could just be part of the accompanying comic I spose, or just capitalising on the game full stop.

It does alright, but some of the photo angles don't do it any favours, whereas some look perfect :?

Batman: Arkham City Nightwing DLC brings new gadgets, moves and maps

It wasn't even a case of 'Here's something we've been working on since the game released'

Retailer deal bypasses Online Pass-style restrictions for used buyers

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/32 ... -gamestop/

There is more greedy FAIL there than I know where to start with... If nothing else, I've read a bunch of sites and there doesn't seem to have been official confirmation of just what the code unlocks. Is it DLC levels? The Catwoman levels that we were told were part of the full game? And will we have to enter a crappy code just to play something that's already on the disc, even though many (including me) were good enough to pre-order the game?

I'm absolutely sick of this code BS just on principle, it's nothing but a revenue raiser from an industry with inherently bad business models, and at the end of the day, that's not the consumer's problem :x

I've pre-ordered the Collectors Edition, so it won't affect me but I still think it's greedy too. At least Gamestop customers will be able to buy pre-owned without having to fork out the $10 for the Catwoman download.

I probably won't bother with the DLC. I've never been a fan of Catwoman (beyond thinking about boning her), so don't care. If the remainder of the DLC is Challenge maps, I definitely dont' want to know.

Batman: Arkham City DLC problems hit early adopters

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/32 ... -adopters/

Well, I didn't expect that!

'I know, for the sake of a small % in the grand scheme of things, let's create bad press and piss off the customers around our brand new stellar franchise!'

...

Batman: Arkham City for 99p as part of Rage, Forza deal

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/32 ... orza-deal/

I'm tempted to buy Rage cheaply if possible, complete it, trade it in for Batman, then trade that in when the next deal comes along - I could certainly sell it at least :)

So far I've spent 30 minutes downloading a 'software update' and the Catwoman 'DLC' (aka 10% OF THE FCUKING GAME!). It hasn't even reached 40% of the 217Mb download... If I knew for certain whether the Catwoman 'DLC' ties into the story proper or not, at least I could download it in the background and get on with the friggin' game I pre-ordered ages ago :x

Yes, but unlike me, you've got the game and you'll be playing it before me. In fact, because of work/exams, you'll have probably finished playing before I've even started.

So no spoilers.

You were warned!

You'll get no spoilers from me :D

I played it for about two hours and I haven't even begun to scratch the missions

The overall feel of the game so far is just brilliant :geek:

How do you compare it to Arkham Asylum?

Gameplay?
Graphics?
Is Predator mode still there?

Nothing I've seen has really changed in terms of mechanics, but it's the (side) missions and city itself that make it come alive.

The graphics aren't a massive leap from before IME, but then I wouldn't expect them to be at this scale of involvement :D

Predator mode's still there, just doesn't look as harsh :)
