Thick?... Until you've met my wife's boss, you haven't met thick! (I'm ranting on her behalf.)

Probably because society has been geared towards protecting the stupid from themselves and each other. The genes need to be allowed to evolve out of the pool.

[LIFTED] Carphone Warehouse. Why don't they listen. Phone is on its way back for the second time with a fixed SIM reader (which could be the fault I guess) but the engineer has advised if it doesn't fix it then there's nothing else wrong with the phone and it must be the SIM card.
It's not.
The problem as far as I can tell is no proper mechanism to hold the SIM firmly in place (piss-poor design) and something called gravity.
I've shown them in the shop over and over again and can replicate the problem in front of them but still they wont accept it. I could do what other online have done and wedge a bit of paper behind the SIM to help hold it in place but why bloody should I!

If needs be can you not go down the 'not fit for purpose' line with them?

I might have to. Frustratingly their own policy is to replace the handset after one failed repair which is pretty good service. Problem is they don't have any of my phone!

Dear Channel 5 If you are going to show Jason and the Argonauts, show the whole film rather than stop halfway through a fight scene to show the next program and leave out the ending. Idiots!

OMG they did that?
Recently, I was watching BBC3 because of Family Guy. They have a 60 second news segment every so often and the girl started talking about how Seth McFarlane said the show should have stopped by now. Then they squished her to one side and started advertising what was next (split screen type thing), with the advert audio louder so you couldn't hear what she was trying to say. Ended up googling it to find out. Muppets.

Dear Americans,
Socialism, Anti-Corporatism, Progressivism and Liberalism are NOT tantamount to Communism.
Grow up.

Gah! I've been on holiday since Friday... Friday, we got up early to clear the lounge for the new sofas, they could turn up any time after 8. At 9, the rang and said they would come between 3 and 5 in the afternoon! Saturday and Sunday, the farmer over the back started work harvesting his fields at about 4 in the morning! My boss rang on Saturday, to say he might need me on Monday and he would let me know. He hadn't contacted me by Sunday evening, so I went to work yesterday (I wasn't going to ruin a whole day off, by not doing anything and sitting by the phone!). The bin men came at just after 5 this morning and were yelling at each other! So much for rest and a lay-in!
