Interesting, and very topical, considering the recent discussion on Mag-Lev trains and whatnot. Although, I can't see them supercooling an entire track.

No, nothing like them. They use the Meissner effect. The Meissner effect works by the superconductor not allowing the magnetic field to penetrate it and so it floats on top of the magnetic field. This is different. The superconductor allows the magnetic field to penetrate it but only through tiny defects in the material and then locks the field in place. The Meissner effect doesn't work upside down, this does. Also the Meissner effect doesn't work with 2 superconductors in a stack, this does (look up the second video on YouTube to see this).

They wouldn't need to. They can put the supercooled superconductors in the train

They've discovered this just in time to make BTTF a reality It even uses the same technology...

If Jesus had access to omniscience, why didn't he tell us how to make cool floating superconductors? Or, penicillin?
Why didn't God foresee the need for the flu vaccine when he created The Garden of Eden?

You forget "God" made flu so he's a vindictive little sh!te in reality.

True there may be a "God" out there, but then we must arm ourselves against 'it'. We must be prepared people!
