A guy on one of the VAG forums has gone to stage 4 on his car. It's gone from 270bhp to 586bhp. Not only is that a double in horsies, based on power/weight ratio, it makes it faster than:
- mclaren slr
- lambo LP640
- Ferrari 430 Scud
- Lambo gallardo
- corvette z06
- ford gt
- lambo murcielago
-porsche 911 gt2

I want! I want! I want!

An impressive, practical graph too. I was half expecting some dyno queen that's making 50bhp at 2k rpm but then an avalanche at 5k.
Two things though - it's still wrong wheel drive and that's a lot of power going through the front. I assume the transmission's been rebuilt to suit?
Second thing - that front plate is illegal. Naughty boy.

He's based in Romania. No idea what the regulations are on registration plates there.

Yeah he's upgraded the DSG. All of the mods he did were done after he was involved in an accident. Had to swerve because of a drunk cyclist and ended up in a ditch. Car was rebuilt stronger and faster than ever.

There was a great documentary on physics and the recent CERN results last night.

Nicola asked me what I want for Xmas. I think I'm abandoning the idea of Windows 7 for the Mac and will just get Battlefield 3 and Skyrim on the consoles. Maybe. I think on one hand I can't be bothered with the hassle but on the otherhand I'm certain the games would look and play better on the i5/6970M1GB/8GB. Arggghh.

If I do forget that it would leave the option of a 77mm B+W 10 stop filter. I'd use a stepping ring to fit the Tamron's 67mm thread and will still have the 77mm option if I ever get around to buying that Sigma 10-20. I can imagine having some fun with that!

From what I've read re: Skyrim you definitely want to get it on a proper computer rather than a console. They have had to seriously dumb down the graphics in particular on the XBox (less idea about PS3 I'm afraid).

I'm tempted with Skyrim now that I have a gaming laptop. I'll never forget Morrowind though. My first modern RPG. Never got to play Oblivion.
