Bacon butties! There seems to be a strong divide between the sauces but what about bread? Personally I can't be doing with brown bread bacon butties (although I like brown bread with any other sandwich) and if brown sauce goes anywhere near my food I won't eat it.
What do you prefer?

A bacon sarnie with brown bread is like a triple vodka with sugar free tonic. You're only kidding yourself.

Personally, I can't abide sauces brown or red, so it's Pie for me.

There's nothing wrong with brown bread per se, excellent for marmalade or (the right) cheese on toast. However, brown bread doesn't go with bacon as well as white in my experience.
I tend not to buy very salty, or smoked bacon, and my default sauce is brown.
However Greggs do very salty bacon baps, and actually red sauce is quite nice on these. I found out because she said do you want sauce? And before i could stop her, it was smothered in ketchup.

I agree. I'd feel cheated. At work it's a pretty much every other day affair that we go and have coffee and a bacon sarnie (well, a ciabatta with cream cheese, bacon and indeed, ketchup - all for £2) for the morning break. Some have brown sauce. I have ketchup. Quite so.

White bread, no sauce for bacon butties. I also cut all the fat off before I grill the bacon.
