LMFTFY. ;)
However, I am not adverse to those who opt for the HP variant.
Variety is the spice of life and all that.

What if you bump in to them walking down the street a few weeks later? Say hi or hang head (in shame) and hope they don't notice you?

P.S. Tomato sauce FTW!

Depends if you've spent the few weeks not answering their phone calls I suppose. The safest way is possibly only to sleep with people who are about to emigrate. Although they frown on it if you're in the departure lounge at the time.

Exactly, there's no exchange of numbers on one nighters unless they're more than one nighters and so they don't count here.

Going out of town for a one-nighter helps with avoiding the other person. Unfortunately it also makes things difficult if you enter into a relationship with said person thereafter.

I prefer one long weekenders personally.

a big no-no if you're in a relationship.

With the stipend that some relationships are open to the addition of other people, whether it be one-nighters or a more long-term arrangement. ;)

One nighters have their place, I've had a few in the past and taking them for what they were was always the most positive way to end them. No embarrassment or avoiding them, but also no sense trying to hang on to someone who's not interested. I have a few friends who were f-buddies for a while but everyone knew what was involved and nobody had false expectations.

It just doesn't work for some people, there has to be some sort of attachment for some people, and I'm sure there are those who just aren't interested in casual sex outside a committed relationship, I don't see why it can't just be fun and fullfilling for everyone involved, honesty is the key.

I have nothing against it for other people, but I couldn't do it. If I don't love somebody, I can't have sex with them.

FWIW, I can't shake the feeling that as I rapidly approach my mid-thirties, I really haven't slept with enough women. My twenties were a waste. I'd be a terrible partner at the moment.
Gentlemen, to those of you who don't have this feeling, I am envious.

As I BEGIN my thirties, I have similar thoughts. But it seems you and I and going against the grain here!

It would appear there's not much experience here for me to draw from. Not surprised by Dan, obviously. Then there's just Zippy.

But most people here in in relationships I suppose, so easier not to contemplate such matters in the depth commonly associated with my thoughts. Or maybe I'm just eccentric
