Partial to a drop of that on a bacon sarnie as well.

Well if we're being granted wishes...

A nice late-night twist on the classic : Buttered, Thick Slice Soft White Bread + Crispy, Butter-Cooked, Medium Thick, Smoked Bacon + HP Brown Sauce sarnie :

Replace the HP Brown Sauce with :

So that's at least 3 for mayo.

If I have guests, I usually offer: "What sauce? Red, brown, white, yellow, pink or something with bits in?"

Does anyone else like onions in their bacon butty? Raw, softened, browned or pickled?

Drop of mayo one side of the sandwich, drop of Tommy K on the other, bacon in the middle and omnomnomnom.

Oh aye.

My fav is a BLT really, bacon, grilled tomatoes, fried onions, lettuce, cucumber and a bit of mayo. Fried onion or spring onions are a good alternative.

Nom, frickin nom. That's on the menu this weekend.

PIE!

I can't eat pork products any more. I have gout, which I controlled with diet, avoiding foods with high purine levels - including pork products. I am now on medication, but my body just can't cope with beef, pork, lamb etc. any more. I tried a schnitzel the other week and it gave me the trots. :(

Yeah gads that's horrific! I'm not sure I could survive life if I wasn't able to eat pork.

You see, I don't understand this. Why smother a flavour with something else? You may as well eat a bit of cardboard with hot pepper sauce on it.

This.

White or brown bread is fine, I like both.

No sauce, thanks. The only thing I want on my bacon is more bacon.

Thick and fresh GRANARY bread, grilled smoked bacon, MUSHROOMS (freshly collected from the field behind my hedge) and an onion slice or two, butter, HP barbeque sauce, few slices raw tomato, few leaves of crispy lettuce - deeeelish, and wondrously fingerlickingly scrummy…

just fired up the grill, can you smell the bacon yet?

:D

Who said anything about smothering? I appreciate spicy hot sauces aren't to everyone's taste - but to discount complimentary flavours from one's diet is a complete nonsense IMHO - a bit like questioning why anyone would put S&V on their chips, or why you'd eat cheese with a biscuit, or lamb without mint.
