Really? Last time I looked the "coppers" in circulation are actually plated steel. ;)

You see, the silver coins have a copper element to them. The new coins will be nickel coated steel. You should RTFA, you know :-)

The Treasury initaly told Vending machine manufacturers of this back in 2008 so they have ahd plenty of time to modify the machines - basically the councils have as usual done nothing and are now running around like headless chickens blaming everyone else
