We select our "subjects" on a purely random basis - we have a global database of thousands registered panellists and we select them at random to cover all age groups/income levels and so on so as to eliminate any potential bias in the results

No selection including water rates or water meter? I certainly know our water use has reduced since we got the water meter checking back to when we first had it installed and in some areas you can get both fixed and metered bills.

That will be covered in a questionnaire that the panellist is given which covers all sorts of background information - that way we can look at the results for a specific subset of people - those with a meter, those without and so on.

Ah ha.

I'm asking out of interest BTW, sorry if you thought I was suggesting that you were fudging results earlier, didn't mean to imply that.

No probs - it's a common accusation that surveys "cherry-pick" respondents, or ask a question that is too leading.

With some surveys I think there's very little doubt that they have an agenda. This is why it's important to check a survey's pedigree before using the results.

I'm sure your pedigree is impeccable ;)

Can't believe a lot of you take 10 minutes to have a shower

I'm in and out in a couple of minutes unless I'm washing my hair. The extra time in bed is more appreciated.

And mods - why haven't you amended the typo?

What's the point? To amend in the OP means to also amend it in every reply.
