For my response to the same news I refer the honourable members of the forum to the Radom Sh!t Thread that I posted some time ago.

I'm truly sorry and I know I shouldn't laugh but that should be in a comedy sketch

If I had my way we'd be in hammocks on a fully rigged ship. It's my GF who's a bit worried about it, the best sleep I've ever had has been on ships, the rougher the better. Well, maybe I shouldn't hope for it being too rough.

Probably best not to grouse at your GF, if her vomiting is keeping you awake. Have a good one, Dan.

Cheers Dave. Lol, aye, I'm sure she'll be fine. I told her I'd seen something ages ago about there being an optimum rocking motion that triggers sickness in some people so if it's faster than that it's ok. I do remember watching it, not sure that was the exact conclusion but it seemed to help her.

But its traditional for everyone to forget their passwords after a break also a consequence of companies that insist that they have multiple account names and passwords for one individual. At the last count I think I have 12 different logins let alone the passwords Its also why I thank god my laptop has a fingerprint scanner so I can associate certain logins with different fingers.

Thankfully we've had a good plumber for several years now, he was passed onto us by someone the GF worked with shortly after we just moved up and I'd had to tell another guy where to stick it when he tried to fleece us. The current one services the boiler every year and has pretty much come out whenever we've asked him too so hopefully it won't be too bad. I should get myself registered, just checked online, if it is the thermocouple it only costs about £10. Obviously no doubt getting on for 10x that when labour is included, I would charge a little bit less. ).

This is why I ahve always had a service contract on the boiler - it "forces" me to get it serviced annually and if something goes wrong then its free to fix - its the only item I do have on a service contract as I know without it I would not get the boiler serviced regulary and would probably either get myself blown up or suffocated

True. Ours is getting on a bit so getting it serviced every year has helped and our guy has always been reasonable (what's the betting after saying that he now adds a '0' to the end of the bill? Ideally we'd get it replaced but at the moment it's a choice between a boiler and uPVC windows (we still have wooden framed ones and I'm damned if I'm painting them again ).
