We're pricing up some new production plant at work, so we've had various company reps coming over to tell us why their plant is best etc..

We had a couple in yesterday. We asked them the location of their nearest similarly spec'd plant, with a view to taking a look at it.

Their answer? Las Vegas, and they'd happily fly us over there and put us up for a few days.

When we pressed them, they eventually admitted they had a similar plant on the Isle of Man. Some people will try anything to win a £2M order.

What? That's a hell of a junket option to turn down!

I fulfilled a small dream last night (kind of).

Ever since sticking pound coins as a child into a Daytona USA cabinet in Blackpool I always dreamed of having one at home. As the years passed I played poor home console versions on small screens and joypads and it just wasnt the same.

Last night though I installed the arcade perfect version on PS3, set up the G27 wheel and fired up the 42" TV. It's not quite the arcade cabinet but it was close enough for me!

We couldn't accept even if we wanted to. Company bribery and corruption policy prevents this kind of thing.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Got a day off today, and I'm spending it translating a 30 page document from German into English as a rush job for my employer! Happy Holiday.

Yes. It's the one I found myself in about a decade ago. I really want to get back to the proper one.
