The last car (KA) was male and called Xuggy (reg. xug), that was all Faye's doing. I said that she could name the new car (Fiesta Eco), she's called it Nolowhich, or Nolo for short ,and it's also male.
I don't tend to name gadgets with people names, they get Elvish names, e.g. beleg-ia (server), celebperian (Mac Mini), celebgul (Mac Pro), gulgond (iPhone), kano (router), anor (NAS), faegilath (MacBook).
I have got a rubber plant called Eric...

Actually thinking about it, I do anthropomorphise things. quite often I ask "where does this live?" when putting stuff away, but obviously it cant live anywhere because it is inanimate.

OK, so car names:
Morris Minor - Moggie (because these cars are affectionately known as “Mogs”)
Skoda #1 - Desdemona the Yellow Skoda
Skoda #3 - Eagle 1 - it was a white Favorit Estate - and naming it after a Gerry Anderson vehicle seemed appropriate
Skoda #4 - Xev - partly because of the registration plate, but also because I was hooked on Lexx at the time.
Crossfire - as mentioned before, she’s called Marlene.
There was a Skoda #2, but that one lasted about a week before something bad happened to the gearbox. Didn’t last long enough for a name.
Other half seems to give her cars Nordic names, apart from her first car (a red Vauxhall Chevette which she called Elvis).
