Just found out that a very good friend of mine has cancer. He found a lump in his head just above his right eye, it's been swelling up and giving him all sorts of trouble with pressure on his eye. Well the docs finally biopsied it last week and today he found out it's some form of cancer.
Poor guy is so lovely, he's had a helluva year but things turned around recently when he and his lovely lady got married, he adopted her son J and they bought the house of their dreams. Now this! Just before xmas and he's worrying about how to break the news to J who is 6 years old!
I know it's not the case, but it really does feel as though cr@ppy stuff happens to the people who least deserve it. At least he's strong and healthy, he's got a good attitude and is prepared to fight. Let's hope he wins, I for one will be giving him all the strength, love and support I can.

Really sorry to hear that, Zippy A guy at work had been to the doctors for two months with back pain, the doctor kept giving pain killers. About a month and a half ago he started passing blood and was rushed to hospital and they found three cancerous tumours on his kidney, further inspection showed it had spread wildly. He doesn't drink or smoke, eats healthily and works hard to provide for his family

Halfrauds....really?? I could buy a full set of 12 wheel nuts for my car for under a tenner but in order to get 4 with the locking mechanism you expect me to pay £32.99?? F*ck That! Thankfully Red managed to get the last stubborn one off so the spare is on for tomorrow and I can take them back, but Really!!

Be happy you didn't have to go to a dealer to get them then

I walked into my bed's leg. It hurt..a lot. Flesh and bone are no match for solid oak.

Ordered five items from Amazon on the 19th (around midnight) for next day delivery on 20th. They ended up being split into three parcels - three items by RM, one by DPD and one by UPS. The latter two arrived yesterday. RM still haven't delivered. Had them deliver to work and it's a little bit out in the sticks. Yet if the others managed it, RM should have done so quite easily. Don't think it was send recorded/registered/special so imagine it's stuck somewhere!

AFAIK you have to be in the UK for a certain number of months. Mind you OAPs in the Spanish sun often get the winter fuel allowance so I've no idea how they work it.
