Well, you took the risk, it may not be everyones way, but flowers is your style and it was a nice gesture regardless of the outcome. It's possible that she's not looking for a relationship of any kind, or that you're not her type, either way there's nothing to be depressed about, she's obviously given you a considered response which is better than laughing and throwing the wizened stalks back in your face, she's clearly considerate of your feelings, but also honest about her needs which is good.

If things change and she decides she does want a relationship, she'll remember your thoughtfulness and if she does like you alright then she might make the effort next time, if not then it wasn't meant to be, Stick to your guns though and keep taking risks and someone will appreciate it one day.

I took a risk on my Mister, and he on me, it was an unconventional gamble but it paid off and we've just celebrated our 4th anniversary. You never know where acting on a risk will take you which is one of the best things about life!!

Well, I've never had a 5 hour conversation with someone before that didn't have a single quiet moment in it.

Just got out of the pub now. We met there at 5:20 lol!

I didn't intend to be depressing. I just wanted to offer a perspective that took me a long time to acquire. I applaud you for taking action. If you're 100% that all you want is a relationship and you're willing to keep putting that out there - fill your boots. I imagine eventually, it'll pay off. All I'm saying is, you potentially stand to miss out on some great women and great experiences by not being a little more low key about things in the early going.
