Voting will now commence for this month and will remain open for one week closing on Tuesday 7th January at midnight.

The rules:

* Voting occurs for one week until midnight on the 7th January.

* Please vote for your favourite three images.

* You cannot vote for your own image*

Your 1st choice will be awarded 5 points.
Your 2nd choice will be awarded 3 points.
Your 3rd choice will be awarded 1 point.

If there is a draw on say for example 15 points, then the image with the least number of votes will win, such that an image with 3 votes for 5 points will defeat the image with 5 votes for 3 points. It won't be the '2nd best' for everyone, but it will be the 'best' for the few. If it's good enough for a Grand Prix then it is good enough for here.

Please try and keep this thread for votes only, it will make it easier for me to tally up later. If you must comment on images and decisions then please do so in the original thread (once it is unlocked).

This thread will run for 1 week only. At that time the winner will have the option of choosing the next theme, and the deadline for entries to that theme will be the end of the current month.

Most importantly, good luck to all entrants. Remember - it's free to vote.

Al

With the theme topic in mind:

1. Doughnut

2. Hanging on the Telephone

3. Sparks

I actually really like the composition of Doughnut, holds the attention longer than all the rest.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Feels a little odd voting on a comp when I couldn't get off my fat ar$e to produce an entry. :|

And here are the results:

Congratulations to HeatherKay for the slimmest of victories over the festive period with 'Hanging on the telephone'.
A hearty 'well done' to the other 3 who submitted but I am looking for a few more entries this month! What say you?

Anyway, it was a really close comp between the first two and the last two with a reasonable margin between the groups. High scoring because of the few entries as well.

1. HeatherKay - Hanging on the telephone - 30pts

2. davrosG5 - Doughnut - 29pts

3. big_D - Sparks - 21pts

4. onemac - Om nom nom - 19pts

Congrats to Heather and new topic to follow shortly.

Al
