http://www.techradar.com/news/internet/ ... st-1051372Thoughts? I seriously doubt it, I know of a few people who have stopped their net access already, and the ISPs are going all out advertising download speeds - their margins would take a kicking overall I reckon as I'd have thought most are on the basic package. Also, Intel have had the CPU market to themselves for ages far as I can tell, and ARM will probably only ever be a hindrance rather than a proper rival in the medium term...

That seems kind of expensive for broadband. We get quasi unlimited* for around 9.99€ a month.
* It is unlimited, in the sense, that if you exceed 500GB a month regularly, they might start to throttle your connection.

A typical cost of broadband in Oz would be 70 euro for 300GB.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

So there's one thing we aren't being totally ripped off for. Good times. What I found more interesting was the stuff about Intel: Looks like Intel's R&D guys can have next year off.

Well, Sandy Bridge-E is basically a Xeon E5-1600 with bits disabled so it's hardly a surprise is it.
