Oh aye, isn't there supposed to be a limited auction run of the first batch soon?

At the price they're intending I may just buy one to put in a hat. Because I can.

jonbwfc I was behind her in a queue today - but I wouldn't describe it as 'bushy'.

Talking of hats, shouldn't you be taking yours off now?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I will definitely be playing with one, assuming they come out at the target price. It will be interesting to see how they perform in server traditional roles.
I'm thinking to use one as a home controller for the light and heat, and possibly a media centre for the bedroom. And possibly as the brain for a robotic maid.

that auction has conflicting info on it, the first one says it's for number one but the description says they are starting with number 10. I wonder if the person who bid £3,300 for the first one will be disappointed to have the tenth one!

the boards are all the same, the numbering is arbitrary. i thought numbers 10 and 01 were attracting higher bids 'cos their numbers are binary :?

Speaking at the unveiling of the $250,000-plus sports car, Dr. Dieter Zetsche wrote:

“Mr [Steve] Jobs always drove his Mercedes-Benz SL AMG without the Californian licence plates. In part I’m sure because they detracted from the beauty of the car and our designers would certainly agree with that,” said Zetsche, before explaining the real reason.

“Jobs got away with that by exploiting a loophole in California law that gave new car owners up to six months to get permanent plates. To ensure he never technically violated the law he reportedly would get a new Mercedes SL every six months.

“To me that’s all the more proof of the man’s true genius.”

Proof of genius, throwing money at a loophole.

Just sorted out my car insurance. £277. For the first time in ages, I am paying a decent price.

I have now been upgraded at work to a new Win7 PC
I await the screams of other people as they realise Office 2010 is not the same as Office 2003.

I prefer '03, the 'ribbon' does nothing for me, seemed to be a style decision over anything else* :?

* Of course that didn't really work out, what with MS being in charge...
