From a purely selfish and academic perspective I hope they publish some initial reports about the evacuation rather quickly. Could be really rather useful to me.

It didn't list that quickly.
If they jumped from hight the could have broken bones stopping them swimming.

Jumping from on high wearing the solid type lifejackets can injure your back quite badly - IF it happens to you jump in holding your life jacket and not wearing it (unless its one that will inflate after you are in the water)

Italian newspaper reports claim Captain Francesco Schettino climbed over rocks and caught a taxi away from the scene

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

"Everything OK?" he was asked.

"Affirmative," came the reply. The coastguard was told the liner had suffered a "small technical failure".

Er yeah, that's some small technical failure!!

I know. I would have thought that for scrutiny purposes things like coastguard calls would all be recorded. If so the captain is well and truely [LIFTED] (and rightly so).

Another five bodies found CLICKY
If it does turn out to be the Captain's fault, the 12 years they're talking about in prision seems a bit small for so many lives lost.

Apparently you can now buy t-shirts with 'get back on your [LIFTED] ship!' in Italian on them....

If I were the relatives, I'd be wearing them at his trial.

As the Master of the ship he is entirely responsible.
