Maybe the shock of finally becoming king will give him a heart attack :-D

Well, that family does on the whole have a history of the males being short lived and the females living for a very long time...

How old is the Duke of Edinburgh?

I said 'on the whole' not entirely!

Both Elizabeth's father and grandfather died quite young if memory serves. Not sure how much further back that trend goes.

King Charles Spaniel = Win
King Charles person = Fail

Not sure why people dont like him much - The Princes Trust - set up by him does brilliant work
It must also be really hard - basically he has been hanging around for the last 40 odd years waiting for him mum to die so that he can fulfill what he (and she) feel is his duty. He is not allowed to havea "real job" and everyhting he does is put under the microscope

I think the problem is that his output is somewhat varied. Yes the Prince's Trust is a really good thing, but he's also done some pretty abominable things in his time, which you would expect a man that under the microscope to avoid (including the selling of quack medicine and getting accademics fired).

A cynic might suggest it's a lot easier to 'not have a real job' when you spend your entire life in abject luxury than it is to 'not have a real job' and be on the dole...

Given the woeful shooting accuracy in that video, I'd expect the royal family would fancy their chances.

Your history lessons will tell you that the Russians did “have a go” at the Royal Family. The rounded then up, put them in a cellar and shot the lot of them.

Tsar Nicholas II was the Nephew of King George V of England.

The queen is popular as she's non-political. He just does good things and represents the country.
Charlie Boy is always sticking his nose into things and pressing his personal opinions on others. Not what we want in a king.
If he doesn't change when he takes teh throne he's going to be very unpopular indeed.

She should, however, tell the daft wife of one of her sons not to accept gifts from another Royal Family who were in the midst of oppressing their 'subjects'.

A new yacht? Jeez, no matter how it's funded, this is not a good message to be sending in the current climate.

jonbwfc I was behind her in a queue today - but I wouldn't describe it as 'bushy'.
