The silly bint at MaccyDs. I went in and fancied a fillet meal but don't trust their tartare sauce. I've barely asked for my order before she's punched it up on the till, assuming a regular sized meal (I refuse large size anyway but i would have been nice to ask). I let her know that it's no tartare sauce and she reiterates this.

Get home and guess what? Tartare sauce. Frikkin muppets. Was so hungry I scraped it off and ate it.

That actually annoys me sooooooo much I find myself sympathising with you.

My dad is allergic to onions, garlic, chives and everything from that family. He lives in France. He has the same experience every time he goes to a restaurant. Seriously, French restaurant people are so f*cking ignorant they are absolutely the worst in the entire world. In over 30 years and however many hundreds of restaurants, they are all the same. "Oh No I know best, you are stupid, eat this and die - the flavour is more important that your meaningless life".

I have another friend who has a kid allergic to soya and milk proteins which crop up in places you would least expect, and people don't appreciate that for example "vegetable oil" could mean "soya oil" and could kill him.

People just have no idea that "oh there's only a tiny little bit it wont hurt" is the same as trying to murder them.

And even worse? When they think you mean "I don't like it" and they say "Oh you'll like this!". Like it or not, they will be very very sick and maybe die.

Most people know the nut allergy thing, but that's not all there is...

I won't die, but I could possibly have excrutiating pain, if I eat pork, beef, lamb, duck, goose, oily fish, peas, mushrooms, spinach or tomatoes in large volume.

I controlled the gout with diet for years. Now I have to take tablets to keep the purine level low, but I haven't eaten those meats for so long, that I can't digest them any more.

Getting sick of the [LIFTED] written in user created articles at Lomography.com e.g. someone reviewed an ISO200 colour negative film as 'super stable' and producing 'realistic colours' before mentioning the film is expired and showing photos with a heavy blue cast.

Also read someone describe Lomography ISO100 film as 'a film for all conditions'.

No "user-created" reviews on the internet are accurate or reliable.

You should look at a professional-only review site.

* Wonders whether to believe "user created" review of "user created" reviews *

:)

Indeed. I don't trust user opinions in most instances, the number of nonsensical things that are claimed to be disadvantages are often because the user can't work the frikkin thing properly.

I tend to read a selection of reviews. Example: I was after a photoprinter. Got a few in mind from the likes of PCPro and then looked them up on Amazon. Looked at the reviews - some were 1 star based on an issue solely to do with Amazon! Ratings appear to be variable depending on who's writing the review. But given sufficient data, you could formulate your own opinion.

Of course. It just seems so called Lomographers are all to keen to falsely big up products unjustly (rose tinted glasses) and fill articles with hyperbole and [LIFTED]. It's getting on my nerves a bit.

This is really a rant or vent but I think this is the most suitable section.

Today I went to work on the bus. It was a typical London peak time bus, so not extremely busy but not quiet either. Anyway, I managed to get a seat
A guy got on a few stops after me and stood reaslly close to me, which is already unsettling enough. But when the bus started moving again he started rubbing "himself" against my arm. At first it was an accident but after a moment I nudged him away and he moved to go stand close to another girl sat further down. I turned around to look and there was no reason for that guy to be standing that close to me or her.

I wasnt dressed in a sexy way, wasnt flirting, just minding my own business. Is there a chance things like this could not happen!
